I have been using a couple of noteworthy apps that are worth checking out...
I invested in SwiftKey for both the phone and the tablet. It's well worth the couple of bucks for the functionality it delivers. I used Swype for a while, but I found that SwiftKey is faster. The main reason is that SwiftKey's predictive engine is so good that it prevents mistakes. With Swype I spent too much time correcting errors.
I had always used the stock browser on Android devices, but the new Dolphin beta really is as fast as they claim. This is a big improvement on my Motorola Atrix, since it's still on 2.3 Gingerbread. The Nexus 7 is on 4.1 Jelly Bean, so it ships with Google Chrome for Android. I still run Chrome on the tablet, but Dolphin is a great upgrade on the Atrix.
