MOG Primo

MOG is quickly becoming the only thing I listen to. Well - I still keep Rhythmbox and Vanilla Music Player (Ubuntu and Android, respectively), to play mixtapes and the occasional mp3 or flac file that MOG doesn't have. Have also used Amazon MP3 for artists like Led Zeppelin.

MOG has been very good about updating the Android app often. They have added some key features since August, such as the play queue. Also there is a nice widget and scrobbling support (offline scrobbling coming soon, they say). Artist-only radio is killer too. My only request is a shuffle-the-queue function.

Turns out that the unintended logouts I was experiencing in MOG were being caused by LaucherPro. I suspect that my settings to have LP use a large memory footprint and to force itself to stay in memory were evicting the MOG app from memory, resulting in a logout. I changed to less aggressive settings and MOG appears to behave much nicer. I think MOG Primo is good enough to use full time as my primary music app.
